1.0 What Data We Hold

We collect the following information, depending on the nature of your contact with us.

  • Name, company/organisation name and job title.
  • Contact information including email address, postal address and phone number.
  • Email address if you choose to sign up to our mailing list.
  • Details of any previous order(s).
  • Information you provide on enquiry, sample or quote request forms.
  • Information you provide if you set up an online account on a online shop site.
  • Chat conversations: Your name and any contact information you choose to provide during the chat.
  • Your IP address, date and timestamped, when ordering from an online shop or paying an invoice online.
  • Anonymised device information when you browse our sites such as browser and operating system, device type, time zone.

2.0 How We Use This Data

2.1 Because We Have a Legal Obligation

We retain records of your orders/purchases in order to comply with our legal obligations under UK company, tax and other law.

2.2 To Fulfill Our Contractual & Other Obligations

We retain and process your data in order to fulfill our obligations to you. This includes but may not be limited to:

  • Processing, fulfilling and delivering your order.
  • Providing you with a quote, sample or otherwise dealing with your enquiry.
  • Responding to your chat requests.
  • Processing payments (via our third party payments providers).

If you have chosen to add your email to our marketing email list we may contact you periodically with product updated and offers.

3.0 Web Chat

We may use Meta's (the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) chat platform to allow you to chat to our team via our websites.

You can chose to chat as a guest or with your Facebook profile if you have one. This does NOT allow us to access any of your private personal data from Facebook but does display publicly visible information such as your name and a small picture icon to us.

If you use the chat function to make a request such as a quote or sample we will use any personal data you provide in the chat in exactly the same way as if it was provided via one of the contact forms on our site. The section above explains how we use such data.

Prior to starting a chat you will also have the opportunity to review Meta's current terms and conditions, and privacy policy in relation to the chat function. 7.0 Your Rights

We want you to remain in control of your data at all times and welcome any questions or comments you may have about this policy or how we use your data generally.

We will respond to your request detailing any requested information or making amendments or deletions as requested. We may retain certain records in order to comply with relevant legislation - for example we must retain financial records pertaining to your order - but we will inform you of this and make clear the grounds for any retention.

We will never share your personal information with third parties unless the law requires us to do so - for example if we are legally required to assist the police or tax authorities.

8.0 Compliance With Different Global Privacy Regulations

We follow the privacy standards required for compliance with EU GDPR.

This, generally, requires a higher level of privacy and data security than other similar legislation. There are some differences in comparision to other regulations such as the UK GDPR, China's PIPL or California's CCPA. The following external links provide more information on differences.

8.1 UK Children's Code

This site is not intended for use by children. As such the additional privacy standards that would be required by the UK ICO's Childrens Code are not applicable.
